Would this be a good use of last year's garlic? New stuff is coming.

I used last years garlic and just froze the bulbs while still wrapped in foil.

Mmm, garlic scapes. Had some last night, quick hot sautée together with some chopped bacon, add both to a spinach salad.

Pulled one out to see how the progress is. Never grown garlic before so the anticipation was killing me. Likely could get a little bigger I’m sure .

Last year was a dud for us too. First time. I'm hoping for much better this year. Started harvesting scapes about a week ago!

Way to early. You should wait until the bottom 2/3's of the leaves turn yellow/brown.

That one had a lot of growing to do yet.
But it appears you are headed in the right direction!

Almost done with our scapes now.
Ate them with asparagus this year.

Have lots of scape pesto in the freezer, wife went with scape salt n scape butter this year. Tasty stuff quite versatile. Regards

Finally got around to this year's garlic powder run.
Spicy & strong, you have to be somewhat careful with how much you use!

Just the way I like it!

Just cleaned up this years garlic. I’ve done 4 diff. varieties for a few years, the 2 smaller will be discontinued.

I just made some recently. Awesome on pizza or fried chicken. I throw in a Serrano and habanero pepper as well for a bit of heat.
