I tried Pac Net in Parksville.......no go, hasn't got them but he's looking into getting some.

On Berry's Bait and Tackle website they show a Gamakatsu "Tin" open-eye hook which is, it looks like, identical to the 510.

But I think they might be made of a different material than the 510 and maybe are heavier.............although they look identical.

Can't tell.....

Did you order direct online from Hooked-on- Toys? Or did you phone toll-free number?

I tried to order some other stuff from them yesterday.

On the order page it says "select province or state" but on the dropdown list you can only select state.

So I emailed them about it...and she replied that right now it's either e-bay store or phone them......

Righto........I think the ones at Berry's B & T are the same........the description on Hooked-on-Toys says they are "tinned".

But Berry's B &T only goes up to 4/0...I'll see if H.O.T's has 'em in 5/O or 6/0 as well...or if they even make them that size.

Yesterday I placed an order at Berry's B&T.......for the 510's........even though their mailing costs are pretty high.

Online they accepted the order.........but later I was emailed and they said they no longer carry this hook.

So.....sofar guess H.O.T's or Cabela's........

When I got mine from hooked on toys I had emailed them about not being able to checkout from their online store and Laura promptly got back to me. This is what she had to say,

Hello Dan,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the web site! While we do ship to Canada, we have been unable get our site set up to take international orders. I can either send a PayPal invoice to this email address for the 4 packages of Gamakatsu hooks, or if you provide a telephone number I can call and take a credit card over the phone. So I would say if you want these hooks, just email Laura with how many packs your interested in and she should be able to invoice you through pay pal. This is how I got mine. I bought 4 packs in size 3/0 and wish I had gotten more!

I actually did order some from them.......just the way you describe......talking to Laura and setting up a paypal invoice over the phone (toll-free number).

Everything went pretty smoothly.


Just that I am still looking for a supplier closer to home as well, SteelyDan.
