I seen bc hydro has announced a fix rate for consumers with higher usage and not subject to surge or tier pricing

I'm not in a BC Hydro area, or I would opt in to their peak/off peak program. Five cents per kWh discount from 11 pm-7 am. Nothing like that from our city utility so far.

Yesterday in Langford the Co-op and Chevron ( I think) was 161.9 but PetroCanada, which is Suncor, was 184.9. Hard to understand what’s happening here.

Depends on how many hours you can run the genny so really it's all about how much fuel you can carry

Suncor is down over 9% today so if you want to throw on a hedge against getting screwed then now is maybe a good time to buy.

Waiting until it goes back up is another strategy. You can leg into it if uncomfortable. You make money from down markets and then waiting.

Everything is down 9% plus today. So many opportunities Can't go wrong with Canadian Banks. Dividend will finance any buy right now

Canadian banks aren’t down 9% today. CM and RY down less than 3. But agreed, buy on the big dips.

As in years gone by, this thread was in place to share up to minute prices for fuel throughout the season. The reasons why, taxes, pipelines and other politically driven narratives are not for discussion here. We keep politics out of this forum unless it is fisheries related and in the Conservation section.

Just at the coop in Nanaimo. Back up to 167.9. I got one fill at the cheaper price. What’s with that.
