Fuel gage not working properly

Hey there guys, just wondering if any of you can help me, my fuel gage stopped working today randomly but would accurately read out fuel level when I would hit a wave. Thanks in advance!

Probe your wires, with a multimeter first, could be sending unit, wires or gauge itself

Try an additional ground wire. Use a jumper wire with two alligator ends.

pull the wires and clean them, one is likely loose or some corrosion. if you have a ohm meter you can test the sender, if you want to test the gauge and wiring touch sending wire to ground the gauge will full sweep to full

Same here, i just use my flow meters as i trust THEIR accuracy

I just use the trip function on my chart plotter. Not great accuracy, but better accuracy.

probably corrosion.
get a digital fuel flow meter instead. it will give you exact fuel in tank down to the milliliter if you use it properly. and it doesnt rely on anything to measure tank level.
