Hi Islander, last time I went out, straight out of French Creek in about 250 feet of water, white hootchie with a green stripe, or the t-rex, also Sangster had lots of coho,s same lures. gear down 90 and 130 feet. I have not been out for the last week as Winter Harbour kept me busy. Hope this helps you out.
A Super Gold Betsy and the Green Splatterback hooch (also the Black/Glow hooch) has been the most consistent producer for me off F.C. so far all things considered.......the Green Splatterback Needlefish hooch often works good off F.C. too......
After about 5:30 or 6 p.m. the Green/Glow flasher works pretty good too.
I was just out there yesterday though and it was pretty slow for us anyway (But I fished the wrong tide)........I find off F.C., before during and after a Low Slack is best.......
Seemed like the bait fish had moved off out to somewhere yesterday......
