Fraser Sockeye Update

"Fraser River water temperatures
at Qualark Creek are projected to exceed 20 0 C by late July due to the low
discharge and warm weather that has been forecasted. Water temperatures
exceeding 20 0 C may adversely affect upstream migration and cause en route
mortality of some Fraser sockeye."

I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers.

it will be interesting as to how many of the estimated 10, 000,000 Fraser River sockeye actually show up. An estimate of a 50% probability, shows a hit and miss method of calculation. I don't know how DFO come up with their figures, but a 50/50 accuracy is not much better than most weather reports on the West Coast. :D
