I have around 50 from 4 to 16 oz. Some well used and a bunch of new old stock.
The 6 and 8 oz are about the best jigs I have ever used, both for Salmon and Halibut. When I get tired of the downriggers I break out the jigging rod.
Norm Metzler is a friend of mine, he and I both live in Port Angeles.
Used my first in 1977 and was " Hooked".
Luckily I bought a bunch of them in the early 80's and stashed away in the shop.
I have lost a dozen or so on the "Rockpile" just south of the border. I would love to take a look at the bottom there, must be tons of jigs and rigs hung up and lost over the years.
A well used one alongside a new one:
Old style hook rigging, we have to use single barbless now. This one has caught salmon to 33 pounds and halibut to 120 pounds back in the good 'ol days..
Don't take all those great jigs to the grave with you, it will be too hard on your pall bearers. If you decide to spare them from the hernias, I'm in Vancouver if your passing through and want to lighten the burden.
