What drove the decision to add the drum winch? Looks sick by the way! I didn’t anchor much with my aluminum but with the cuddy and cabin on my current boat we anchor out a lot more.
I like to watch the boat reviews of the guys in Australia and NZ, drum winches seem to be very common there even on smaller 16ft tinnies taken out for spear fishing/diving. Interesting the differences between our boating on the coast and theirs. I like the idea of a drum winch on my 18.5ft after seeing them a couple times. Beautiful boat @Chasin' Dreams congrats!

It’s interesting watching the influencers shilling things. Love my 20 year old Lewmar winch, but also love the idea of drum winch.

Watching Battle Born batteries unravel and the YouTuber influencers slander each other. I’ve been offered “influencer” deals for lifepo4 batteries and insta360 cameras, but it’s questionable how well these things hold up and the deals are often terrible. It’s a difficult to put your name behind a brand for as long as your videos are up.
