Hi Bros, I'm a fly fisher from Hong Kong and planned
to spend my holiday to Vancouver Feb next year. I may
sneak a day for fly fishing there. I'll stay in Richmond.
Where can I fish? I searched over the internet the guide
service is quite expensive (Pitt river). Is there any suggestion
for other river? Sorry for questions, I'have never been Canada
before. Cheers

Welcome to BC,
I would recommend fishing the Vedder (Chilliwack) river. You can home-base in Chilliwack and there is 30km of accessible river close to town. You do not need a guide, there will be lots of hatchery steelhead in the river. Fish low and slow with intruder style flies. Hope this helps!

yeah I have to agree with BL, the Vedder is probably your best bet, my buddy has been into a few good fish over the last week... good luck !

HC-- winter flyfishing is pretty tough for a first-time angler in BC.

I think you might generate more ideas if you post over on this site. They answer a lot of questions for novices

Thank you very much Blackleech! You suggestion is very useful to me.
By the way, should I bring the single hand or Spey rod? Or both. Thanks in advance.
