Anyone that fishes Sooke will recognize the name of the tug aground in Sooke harbour. Tonite at apprx 8.30 pm it was burning up. It was built in 1944 and it is no more[:0] Will post some pics soon. WOW[^] gotta sleep must fish........[]

Post those pics! Went down to the dock with this kids at 9pm to check the crab trap..."holy crap, flames shooting up 20 feet". We went over and watched for a while...wrong night to have forgotten the camera or cell phone. Was pretty impressive, guess those above water timbers were pretty dry.

Is it fully gone or is anything still there? (am away from Sooke today)

By the way, about 20 crabs in the trap after a 3 hours soak, 10 keepers. Nice!

Wow wonder how that got started??? I know it was an eyesore but was a neat conversation piece for clients.
Clients yesterday on the way home even took pics of it and that was at 2 pm kinda weird!!!!

The tug was towed into Sooke Harbour the night of Nov 9th 2007. Anchored near Christie pt in early am daylight flood. In high winds in the late afternoon (high tide/low press/stormsurge) of 12th it drug its anchor to its resting spot. Never to move again[B)]
