Flir M232 vs M332

I’ve had the 232 and 625. I see no reason for a pan/tilt in the boat. I want to see in front of me as I run, not beside or behind me. Plus, I’ll never need to see up in the sky with a FLIR. But I very much see the difference between a 320 resolution and a 640 resolution. The 625 shows things like logs and crab/shrimp pot floats, even though they’ve been in the water all night long. I have no idea how they reflect, but they do. I haven’t had the 332, but it’s still a 320 resolution.

Build update? Will it be at the Seattle show?

Definitely agree. You need visual clarity first and foremost. And, not sure why you would want or need the pan/tilt function? Doesn't seem like something that you would ever use. My 3 cents.

i use pan tilt a ton. the FLIR is up the mast so it stows itself via pan/tilt so the lens is not exposed. then it will unpan/untilt to normal position when i power it on. that way i dont have to climb up vertically 40 feet to clean the lens and no bird poops on it.
