Flake ice/sea ice/salt ice

Does anyone know where I can get sea/salt ice in or on the way to Port Renfrew? I'll be coming from Sidney/Victoria. I know there are places further north, but it would be out of my way. Thanks for any info.

Codfathers in Port Alberni. Bottom of Argyle. $5 per 5 gallon pale. $30 fills the giant igloo coolers.

French Creek also has salt ice, but call in advance to confirm. Codfathers has never let me down.

When you enter Port Alberni coming down the hill past the candy shop, call these guys:

Order the cheese and bacon pizza with chili flakes (owners special ) and pick it up after you grab your ice from Codfathers. They are a block up the hill. Sounds basic but frick is it good eats. They wont let you down! PS enjoy responsibly with a cold beer!

Not sure about ice in/on the way port renfrew (not even sure where your coming from) but unless you have about 5 hours to kill I wouldn't be detouring to port alberni to get some ice!

According to Pacific Gateway Marina's website they sell chipped ice and are located in Port Renfrew. I start fishing tomorrow morning so haven't checked out whether they do or not.
