Fishing Today in Sooke

I had some guests out today and had 2 fish in 6 hours the first about 15 pounds at Muir creek which was lost behind the boat and the second 27.6 pounds at Otter Point. Wolf how did you do? Saw your boat, looks good.

Lost both fish one right beside the boat guest was a little heavy on the rod!!!!!! sh*t happens told him many times to let er run but he never listened oh well my job is to hook them there is to reel them in so I did my job thats all I can do!!!!!!!

Cod fish when you see me out there say Hi!!!!!

Thanks for the comment on the boat its really comfy to fish out of thats for sure

Was it bumpy out there today?
I was going to head out but the forecast did not look good and it was windy at home this morning.

It was a little lumpy at the beginning but then it was very nice almost flat.

The one fish I did see was about 25 not huge but still a nice fish shot the hooks past at mach ten[B)]

I was out at Otter by 5:50 saturday morning. It was a little bumpy on the way out but then it was nice till I went in at 12:30. I got an 18 at 6:05 and lost another teenager 10 mins later. I had 1 other strike around 11 I think. I saw Codfish out there but I didn't know what wolf's new ride looked like, so I never spotted him.
Luckily I only hooked 1 doggy all day.
Bait jumpin everywhere but the fish are scarce.
Hopefully it'll pick up for the longweekend

Tried out at the tide lines for some hatchery coho and sockeye, nothing but 4 doggies. Was nice untill about 2:00 pm and it got lumpy.

Sooke was a more than a little slow yesterday for springs. Killer whales tore thru the tac in the AM and then came back thru in the PM. Bagged a teener after many hours of trolling just as the afternoon bite started but the whales arrived and put a quick stop to any more action. I think the springs were spooked most of the day. Saw Wolf pull a little one in the boat early afternoon as well. Tons of bait and fish in the area though. Should be better next weekend.
