Fishing Spots near PNE?

Hi, Im looking for fishing spots near PNE for the nights where I only have a few hours. Is it true that we are no longer allowed to fish off New Brighton Pier?

I think all the salt water regs are on line nowadays.
between the bridges is closed for the last 30 years or so. fishing or trapping. i bet the crabbing is good tho!

Yup totally closed. Find a new spot and read the regs before you fish!!!!

Sure do miss the old days when I was a kid....
So many places to fish! Use to jump on my bike and ride down to Stanley Park (6-7 miles), fish for several hours then head over to Jericho and fish the piers.....everywhere you went there was fish to catch!
Then off with my Dad for evening of smelt fishing!
