Was in browns for the morning bite hooked two nice springs one in the boat the other a foot away from the net beautiful fish 25-30lb both at 160 chovie. I lost about 7 teaser heads from the dog fish I could not believe how many where every 10 min. then took off up to therstonbay two boats there but took off as soon as we showed up so we just fished the far point about an hour and then back to browns.

Great fish Salty! As a counterpoint, I fished there all day on the 8th and caught 2 6-inchers[:I] I saw one fellow get one on and then proceed to drag it around behind his boat until it got off[:0] Strange way to play a fish. It could be that he had very light line and was attempting to tire it out but that sure didn't work. He finally got too close to a kelp patch and the fish broke the line when it went through it. Looked like a big one. That was the only fish I saw hooked the whole day. I'll try again next Sat; gotta get lucky one of these times[^].

I was up at Browns Bay Thursday for dinner on the dock and saw there was quite a few fish over 20lbs recorded on the chalk board. By the way if you want a fantastic sushi dinner stop in at the restaurant at Browns Bay the top chef from sushi by the sea is now running it and makes really good food at a very reasonable price. There is alot of other things on the menu too.

Cheers ME
