I was looking to fly fish from shore somewhere near Kelowna while my daughter and wife either play in the water or on the beach nearby. My daughter is only 2 1/2 years old so it will have to be safe for her. I consider myself an experienced fly fisherman and I just need somewhere safe for my family yet somewhere I can catch something.

If you need to fulfill both objectives, then you might be looking for Pike Minnow or Carp.
