I thought you were wanting to head to a lodge for the season, that's a switcheroo
 
100% agreed on that, do it while your young and have the chance,

commercial fishing is great for time on the water but does nothing for your social skills if you want to be a guide.lol
 
You will make more money working for a lodge all summer as a wharf rat and most will let you dabble into guiding once in a while(if they know you have all your certs). AS commercial greenhorn if the boat doesnt do well you could come back pretty empty handed at least a lodge your guaranteed a wage.......and you will have to travel away from home and the apron strings......LOL
 
job still available for dock hand at harrisons.. and a step into guiding...
