Fishing around Port Alberni in April

Hello fellow anglers
I am planning on spending Easter weekend in Port Alberni. Any advise on Sproat Lake or the Stamp River?
If I am fishing the river is it safe (deep enough) for an 18ft boat with an outboard??

What species do you intend to target.

Sprout can be very good for drift fishing at the mouth of the river, try marabou jigs, trolling around 2 rivers area in about 40 ft water using pink and blue flat fish with worm, or if there's decent flow on some of the little creeks you could try some drop off fishing. Someone else can advise on the stamp

For years i fish camped dixson LK in april.last time there for a day trip, the steelies were crusing back and forth in front of me and would not take the hook.not framiliar with sprout lk,as i fish GCLk from scout beach launch, .if i was asked to fish sprout lk i would troll snow creek.
