Fish shrinking over time due to harvest methods

Not really sure what you mean with low quality raceway fish? You mean hatchery bred salmon? Hmm, let me see ... after being pellet fed for few weeks at the hatchery they were released with few grams weight into the rivers to compete for 4-6 years in the wild? The ones that grow big and return are not fit, you say? Didn't struggle for survival all that time? I think you have to switch your glasses, buddy, to see the reality! I see no quality loss with hatchery fish. The ones that return have passed the same ancient exam that wild salmon had to pass for millions of years. If anything then the exam bar has even been raised since ancient times because of added pressure by humans and lower quantities to make each individual an easier target by predators.
