First Halibut!!!

Hey guys..was ouu trolling for salmon today on the outside off porlier pass, checked are rod because it was bouncing, and what do you no, we ended up landing a lilttle 16'' hali. it was about 120-130 feet of water. pretty nuttss eh. and yes, we threw it back

That's awesome. Be nice if halibut fishing was as good in the Strait as it is out west coast. Okay it'd be nice if there even half the halibut out there.
How did you do at porlier anyway? Trolling chovie or herring? Any good reports?

I was trolling a coyote and hootchie, was at wallace island for a picnic and finished early so we decided to give er a shot so i dint think we would fish....umm yea didnt catch anything, we left just as the evening bite wouldve started...a couple boats were just arriving when left so it might be half decent still. hope this helps..kinda..lol
