Firearm Owners

Many of you have likely heard the stories of Incompetence and / or the Direct Imposing of "rules" above and beyond current Canadian Firearm Legislation on the part of various Provincial Chief Firearms Offices (CFO's). BC's CFO has been but one of many engaging in these questionable practices. Many are getting more than a little tired of this...

Please be aware that there is a petition in effect courtesy of Cheryl Gallant ( P.C. member of Parliament). There is a new motion proposed to get rid of the Chief Firearms Office (C.F.O.'s), and replace it with a civilian run agency. That motion is M-439. Go to http://responsiblefirearmsreform.ca/ and you will see Support M-439 among the selections. Click on it and fill in your contact information to make your voice and vote known. This is very important. The CFO has got to go. It is the equivalent of a Dictatorship. Makes up its own rules as it sees fit. NOT a friend of the firearms community.

PLEASE: Take a moment to cast your support for this motion.

Cheers,
Nog

This one of the best ways to get results as they can lobby the government and they listen as we vote.

I sure hope you guy's have checked out this petition and the backers.

I vote in support of amending Section 95 of the Firearms Act to privatize the functions and operation of the Canadian Firearms Registration System.

Why the double speak?

FYI: I fought like hell against the long gun registry back in the day.
Complete waste of money and tried to turn law abiding people into criminals.

But this seems to not pass the smell test to me.
Is this a grass roots movement or is this just an Astroturf website with some other motive?
It's clear that the website is setup and run by a MP from the Cons in government.
I don't trust them one bit.

I would sign it in a heart beat if I knew the answer.
