Favorite Picture from 2023 fishing season

Leaving Metlakatla bright and early heading to the Work Channel the sunrise shots here are amazing due to the smoke.

The famous Indian Head Rock at the mouth of the Work Channel.

Kalum's first ratfish the sunlight and camera got the picture just right making it rather cool top look at.

I did have a great picture of the Fisheries officers in the RIB videoing a humpback with it's tail up but mistakenly deleted it.

We caught a 30 lb ling at Malcolm Island - with a 3 lb spring in its mouth. The spring was caught on our lure. Grabbed the ling and released the spring.

It’s what you don’t see in this picture, my sons grin. He reeled it up from 150 feet. I have a picture with my dad and a beautiful spring when I was six too. We don’t post the kids online or social media but happy to show you all in person at the dock. I’m more proud of this chicken more than any fish I’ve ever caught.

Although not big, we had amazing action and these kids were like pigs in s”it at the action one evening in Renfrew.
