Starting to think you eat more then you fish..:) But I will keep this list in mind next time I leave the island..as the are no real good places between Nanaimo and CR if you asked me. One of the thing I mis since moveing from Van. to Van. Isle. The food in van was top notch if you knew where to go..

Theres lots of great spots in Vancouver that offer great ethnic eats at low costs heres a few of my faves.
Congee Noodle House Broadway and Main....try the ling cod congee and spicy chicken wings ...open late
Peaceful Restaurant Davie and Granville...Northern Chinese food and handmade noodles....mmmm tasty
Farina Pizza 915 Main St....wonderful super thin crust pizzas
Guu Izakaya Gastown....cheap and cheerful....and noisy...

For "authentic" Italian pizza creations.........Domino's pizza; located conveniently throughout the LML.

thanks for all the input guys,

for any of you vancouver guys you simply must try Toshi sushi, its unbelievably good -freshest fish I've ever tasted and good prices. Beware it's closed Sundays and Mondays and expect a 20-45 minute wait for a table.

My daughter-in-law for Malaysian :)

Found the Banana Leaf on Denman pretty good too.

Haven't been to the location at Kingsway and Victoria but used to live a few blocks away from the Boundary Park location in Surrey of Green Lettuce Restaurant and found their food really good. Owners are Nepalese, food is fusion of Chinese with Indian spices, love their chicken hot and sour soup....yum....

There is a "newer" place for Sushi/Japanese which is right across from the Earl's at Broadway and Fir; I have not been yet but have heard very good things.

Luckys Smokehouse and Barbeque in Sechelt....delish....if we consider cuisine from the southern US ....ethnic
