That Coastal Carvings gallery is spectacular. I’m a wood turner and carver myself so I have an appreciation of what goes into that sort of work.

I visited their gallery a month ago for the first time and was very impressed with the brother's work as well as the other artists that were showcased. worth a visit if you are in Coombs.

I you ever have an opportunity to stop in at Coastal Carving gallery, it is well worth your time. Amazing works of art in there.

These are just a few of the works available on display.

Today I closed the PEETZ workshop, it will open again Tuesday morning at regular hours for the rest of the week.

Today I ventured up to Qualicum where I spent the entire day at the Workshop of COASTAL CARVINGS. It was an amazing day of filming with Jesse, Jeremy and James for the APTN TV series. We were finalizing the PEETZ 100-Year Anniversary reel. We did two test runs on Jeremy's new machinery. James and Jeremy had been refining the design paths and ran some test earlier in the week.

They had a few hiccups and had broken some bits, but eventually found a favored rpm and eliminated some minor features of the design in order to reduce the project run time.

Our tests today were 100% successful and we are now moving forward in the development stages for this project. We also did a reel mockup, it was just a ruff version to confirm fitting and spacing on the reel. Let me tell you, the high fives were pretty epic in our celebration for our small milestone success.

Here's a few photos from the balance of our day. I'll continue to keep y'all apprised of the progress in our pointed journey of the project. It truly has been a lot of fun working with this talented group of people.

There are many more photos and video clips, however we are not ready to share them as yet. We certainly will when the time is right.
