I don't know where you live but i live amongst the 1st nations people and have a decent idea what's going on. Thanks for the update

Read it, and it really doesn't say anything concrete. It is just a Masters paper and has no bearing on how the process moves forward. Further, there really are not actionable co-management processes that significantly bring the parties into a new decision making relationship. In fact, the paper simply recommends more research - typical academic paper. I would say its a nice concept, but really not going to define how the parties move forward in any meaningful way. I would predict that I will be long dead and pushing up grass before we ever fully resolve this issue.

Actually this paper is one that best describes and shares the direction, ideas and views that the Government now has and is moving toward. This is yet another bread crumb, or candy drop; keep reading there is more. Start researching all the Aboriginal sites to get a glimpse. One of the best observations in change is the positive forward moving partnership between DFO and First Nations; Hhmmm???
