Couple of decent deals on kickers:
8hp Yamaha 2-stroke: claimed low hours, superficial damage to cowl. Smoking deal at $400 if it will start up.

Smoking deal - Sailmaster is same as a Tohatsu Sailpro (low gear ratio, high thrust prop). These are rated for 4500-5000 rpm vs 5500rpm for the 6hp, otherwise identical to the 6hp. In reality you can't rev the nuts off these when using them as a kicker anyway, not sure if these have a different cam for the low revs. This came up one day after I bought my 6hp and I was kicking myself. Save yourself $800 vs a new one

Never used 8 hp Yamaha 2 cycle outboard motor. Stored in bow of boat since purchased as a kicker but never used. jostled around a bit which is why the cowling is cracked. Needs new fuel tank and hose.

Mercury 5HP Longshaft 4 Stroke - boats - by owner - craigslist
This fully loaded 2014 Mercury Sailmaster 5HP Longshaft four stroke outboard motor has been on my rowboat its entire life and is barely used. Maybe 25 hours total running time. Purrs like a kitten!

Anyone have experience grabbing a lease return motor? Just doing some research for a potential project in the fall. I've looked at GA Checkpoint and I believe Bridgeview offers this as well. I assume more come up in the fall, looking into this instead of used unless the perfect deal comes up but nice to know its been looked over from an outfit. Thanks

I bought Twin 150 from Bridgeview and they are great. Going to sell this winter and put 200’s on for next season. Hopefully get lease returns again

Just to further this. I live in Nanaimo, and they shipped it to dreamers marine and it was hassle free.
I found that GA Checkpoint’s Yamaha motors had higher hours and more money.

The Bridgeview lease returns I have looked at over the years have usually been a current model year. Some of the checkpoint Yamaha’s seemed to be two or three years old. Your mileage may vary.
