Engine Decals...

2 questions:-


If you have an engine with a newer plastic cover.......what is the best method to get the factory decals off it.

and..

is there a site that sells engine decals that are "designer" and not factory name-brands?

I would assume that putting a different decal on the motor isn't going to affect the warranty although it might peeve the dealer off somewhat......

I'd talk to a place like graphic fx in victoria. You might have a more local shop that does similar work.

They will get your decals off and make your motor look however you want. You can probably order decals from them and DIY or just get it professionally done which probably wouldn't cost much more.

heat gun and remove any leftover glue with enamal reducer. I've got a few decal packs through these guys http://www.replicals.com/

you just want to warm them up a bit, not to hot

If the decals bubble you're too hot... But yes, heat gun

Then order new off a site like AF mentioned..

I've used this guy before, you can't tell they are replicate. Put fresh paint on the engine and slap decals on and it'll look brand new.
