That is quite the carp on a fly! I fished for carp for quite a few years in the U.K. and a little bit here and I had never caught one on a lure of any kind. They usually fall to corn, bread, worms, or particle baits of one kind and another. However, there is always the exception and a few years ago we were fishing in Osoyoos Lake for bass and trout and this one took a little red kokanee lure! (Oh and Happy New Year)Am a newcomer to the island and have now fished Elk lake a half dozen times trolling a fly in my kayak. Typically catching 13-16 inch rainbows regularly, but I must have been closer to the bottom than I thought this morning as I managed to get this guy on. A little over 30 inches and I’m guessing 12-15lbs. I think I need a bigger net
