EFI kickers 9.9

Most Peoples issues with carbs today, is from running fuel with ethanol in it. If you do, DO NOT store it with Ethanol fuel. It goes stale quickly, absorbs water and you will have corrosion in your carb. Older engines fuel system were never designed to run on it. It can eat the fuel lines and rubber parts. In Nanaimo you can buy 91 marked gas at the co-op. That's all I use in my boat.

Tohatsu makes merc's smaller engines. Better warranty with Tohatsu as well.
My understanding is that all gas, even marked marine fuel, has ethanol now. Since 2024. Some marine sources may still show marked fuel and not say it has ethanol, but I suspect that is just inaccurate. Do you know for sure you are getting ethanol free?

Here's a simple way to verify the ethanol content in the grade of gasoline you buy:

A buddy just sent this to me. I called the Nanaimo Brooks Landing site and had it confirmed. He verified that mid-grade still has 5% and wouldn't give any fuel prices over the phone. He added that Victoria Road site still has 0% premium.
