Downrigger Mounting

Hello I am new to this forum and wondering if any experts have some advice on how to mount a couple of scotty electrics to a 14Ft LundWCDLX. No middle bench but two LH and RH aft side benches.I would be interested in seeing any mods or pics of ideas that would work. Obviously not laketrollers so must be able to have at least 10 pound ball strength. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a Lund WC 14 which is almost the same boat but I used manual downriggers. I sandwiched the boat sides with pieces of 1/4" lexan for stiffness (bolted on) then attached a Scotty 1015 sidemount bracket to which the downriggers slid into...for further support I added a diagonal brace to the seats.

Would caution you about using any downriggers with long arms...I would stick with max 24" otherwise, given the lightness of the boat, it can become very tippy if the ball gets snagged on the bottom.

Keep the tips coming guys I appreciate it. I had something like Mighty Sylvan had but only strong enough for laketroller scottys which it came with so I opted to use these for the rod holders. It has no middle bench just the two rear side benches one with pedestal seat so mounting needs some ingenuity. I was looking at the 1025 Scotty right hand gunnel mounts with the 1101 30 inch booms dont know if the extra six inches will kill me but have read about the capsizing issue I suppose the idea is to not get hooked up and adjust the clutch to release easier.
Have seen a few ideas on these forums but obviously not sure which one to use any pics would be great. Good website by the way.

I had a glass 14. same problem. cut a piece of 3/4 plywood 12" by width of boat bolted on with stainless nut and bolt. mounted riggers to plywood, stiffened the boat up and gave me a seat as well, just a thought.!Ps mounted it midship.
