Downrigger Balls

What is everyone using for downrigger balls when fishing outside in open water. I have always used 10 lb when fishing in shallow water but in deep water I find they run a long way behind the boat. I tried 12 lb flat weights but they were getting crossed when fishing 200 ft down. Might go to 15 lbers. Anyone?

12 pound with stainless fin and bend them slightly to go away from each other then we switch to 15 pounders for 175+

I use 'standard' 15lb rounds all the time. Riggers pull them up from all depths without problem. Use them on both sides of the Island all year. I've tried glow and various colours but haven't noticed any increase in catch rates.
