Barkley Sound Lodge is hiring.....

needed is a guy/gal, that is dynamic, small household repairs, svop necessary, possible guiding days with extra pay, running clients back and forth from lodge to toqart, fish packing, all the things that a lodge needs help with. 140.00 per day plus tip share! and no you dont have to wash and remove beer cans from the subcontractors boats. lol

i have worked there for 5 years in a row with a great staff and amazing location, especially when the guests are gone!!

I am mid 50's, regular (good) job, and am salivating at the thought that this could have been a job for me when I was much younger and less "attached". Yes, indeed, what of the youth today who are not jumping at this job.........hell, maybe I will just take the summer off and see if I am still employed next fall... :) We can all dream.

May be interested I'll have all my certs at end of march. More interested in guideing but don't mind earning my way. How much guiding would there be approx ? 2-3 days a week?

we had a brother combo runnning the place and honestly both of absolutely loved it. both late 50's!!

some days when the swell is up it would be my dream job too.

guiding opportunities would be limited,although definitely possible, subs dont show or res guide wants a break, but if the lodge boats arent busy and you earned yer keep, usually the boss will let them out... this obviously after some commitment and skills shown..

kind of a family place really, if yer missus is interested in kitchen and chamber duties the two of you could have an incredible summer experience!!
