Do you throw your spawning spot prawns back?

Beats the hell out of me!!!!! I am sure it will all come out in the end!!! (darn-- no smilies here!!!)

Well those gravid Prawns could have come from a test set-someone paid by FOC to catch Prawns for research purposes and allowed to sell the catch.

This happens with finfish and you see it all the time (if you know what you're looking at) there's a special flag that's flown when a vessel is conducting a test set can't remember the colour/shape right now maybe someone here can enlighten us all.

Cheers All,

As a matter of conscience I throw all gravid prawns back but, from time to time, I get home and while cleaning, I find one that has escaped my detection on the tossing boat. I don't lose sleep over it but think, as stewards of this resource, that we must be vigilant to ensure future generations. However...if members (or their significant others) wish to eat the occasional meal of gravid prawns, it also does not bother me. I only worry about my boat. :)
