DNS Cache?

trying to access either the NB or NS sportfishing discussion boards ( owned by the same guy),
I get this message:

"This Site Has Been Moved to a New Server.

It may be possible to restore access to this site by following these instructions for clearing your dns cache."

I have checked MS and found instructions for cleaning the cache.... But being a non geek, who has been bitten in the past by false instruction , is there any risk, and how will it affect my current operation re web browsing?

Thanks

You can find a Windows 7 process.....fairly easily via google; I have done it a couple of times as I still run XP on my corporate PC. With XP it is cleared by starting the process via the command prompt.

You won't see any negative effects from doing it at all. Your essentially just cleaning out a cache which will include "good" entries and "bad" entries; but the "good" ones will be restored as you go to those sites again. This is putting it all in layman's terms but truly....don't be worried about it at all; if anything it will speed up your browsing.

type "cmd" in your Run Program/Search window to open a command prompt window, then type "ipconfig/flushdns"

This will flush your DNS cache.
