I have a small 15 min dive in Sooke Harbour to retrieve a couple items. Probably limited to 15 ft or less, depending on the tide. Anyone know a diver who might do the dive in exchange for a fishing trip?

I live too far away to help, but it's usually not as easy to find a dropped item as you might think. Of course it depends on what the item is, but smaller items are often covered by sediment when they hit the bottom. If you find a diver, you can help by dropping down a weighted line at the location where it was dropped. Try calling a dive shop to see if they know someone.

I've had some success retrieving tools with a large magnet on a string. I got the spanner and the ratchet back but couldn't find the the other socket. 2 out of three wasn't bad.

I don't know if you subscribe and will get this in time but there is a diver with 4 tanks working at Sooke Harbour marina right now and he will be there for a few hours maybe not a trip but cheep while he is there
