Yep, I ordered a marine radio antenna from them 6 weeks ago. Item was as described and maybe not the fastest shipping but it certainly wasn’t the slowest either. Does it work? I dont know because my radio burned out the same week I recieved the antenna

Bought from them several times. It takes a week tho to get stuff. I think it comes outta Montreal. Prices sometimes/often are lower than others.

They are huge in the US and new to Canadian market. Their website explains they are building up their Canadian inventory. You are like a beta tester right now. You might order something they don’t hold in the Canadian warehouse yet l, so it ships from US to Canada warehouse, then over to you. Stuff that’s already in Canadian inventory ships out to you quick.

I just had to return something with Defender. No problem at all. They paid return freight. They don’t have a warehouse in Canada or staff. It’s all sourced out of the US (Connecticut). They use Quebec as their central shipping receiving point out of US.

Trotac and Harbour Chandler do lots of direct buying from manufacturers and often beat pricing if it is something they have in stock and don't have to go through a distributor for. Never hurts to ask for a good guy discount if you think the pricing is too high at a local store.
