coming from Comox to PA is Fr Creek the only place to get bulk ice or is there ice in PA?

Lol I do the zamboni thing and bag my fish then burry it in the hockey rink ice. Somebody said you shouldn't bag your fish and put it on ice not sure I see the problem though. Anyone know why you shouldn't put your fish in bags then on ice? If it isn't a problem to bag the fish I don't care how nasty the ice is its just keeping it cold.

Well I catch it, kill it, bleed it. It sits in the boat for 2-10 hours depending on how much longer I'm fishing. When I get back to the dock I fillet it then put the meat in bags and bags on ice. That's when I'm camping from home the meat goes straight into the fridge or freezer.

so you catch the fish then bag it right away and put on ice?.....i wouldnt do that....the fish will be giving off heat inside the bag......holmes*
No not the fish but the ice It would be a way to keep the ice seperate from fish then rince well when you get home Just a thought. The ice in the bag then the fish in the cooler on top of the bagged ice

I use dry ice in a small cooler inside my big cooler everything is dry and last for 5 days!

When I lived on the lower mainland in my teens and early twenties, we used to fill trucks with rink snow, grab our snowboards, and session hand rails and ledges. Good times. Lots of injuries. I bet that rink snow is cleaner than some public recreational facilities out there.
