Crazy Glas-Ply SF 28 dance floor.

Talked to the recent owner of this sweet sport fishing beauty. This is in really nice condition. Apparently they only made a handful of these really short cabin versions of the 28 foot hull, so this one has direct drive shafts instead of the v-drives like the ones with the longer cabins do, as the cabin space drop down necessitated v-drives. The dance floor is just incredible, so long that the cabin does not have a full head….no room. It’s all for fighting fish. Those old school boat builders had it figured out.

You mean this one? The outside steering wheel actually goes through the glass. The must have had a piece cut with a hole in it for the hardware to pass through, and then had it tempered. Necessity is the mother of invention.

It would still be a great charter boat with all of that fish fighting floor space.

I would love to rent something like that for a week or two for a more relaxing trip to Desolation or Princess Louisa. Done both in my 19 ft with camping gear, but Mrs Sly seeks a little more luxury these days.

Looks like you would be high up off the water with how low the gunnels are and why they have the railings around the cockpit. Also no rear helm close to the action.
