Careful in the upper section (fly fish section) : a sweeper all across the river! Better stay away!

It's gone now as it got cut out. Thanks Hooge !! Yup the upper is getting hammered every day..

What are the chances they will open the river for Coho retention?

Well, it has to be re-opened for salmon fishing first. Many rivers have had good flow for over a week, but DFO hasn't opened them, so I'm not holding my breath. The Cowichan is no longer just a trickle, but it's still somewhat low. If the current weather system is as big as it's supposed to be, perhaps it'll spur DFO to action.
