X2,holmes. There is no need for barbed hooks in any freshwater situation. The only time I use barbs at all is Halibut
fishing with circle hooks and that is it!!

Yep the further you drive that 3 ott hook into the fishes head the better I spose

Last I checked DFO uses barbed hooks when they catch there brood stock hmmm
