Convergence rods,old and new?

Have used some of the black convergence rods for last few years and they have been delivering great service,but recently picked up a couple of the earlier brown ones.
Wondering if any of our knowledgeable followers have any comments on how they compare? Thanks

i had them for years. find them a bit too noodly for my liking but they are still a good, serviceable rod. fish tecniums now when i’m not slow pitch jigging

Brown ones are awesome hold onto those bullet proof. Black ones junk I moved to other rods
