Coho in Oak Bay?

So ... do they come in along the flats and into the gap, or are they like the pinks and generally avoid us out here?

New to this, so apologies if this is already well known or covered elsewhere in the threads.

Pinks are actually more abundant than Coho in the odd years,
but both usually further out in the straight.
I have picked up a few Coho on the flats, not many though.

Thanks! Good to know so I'm not out there thinking it's my rig or something. Maybe we'll hit the waterfront if we decide to go for those guys.

Thanks tinboatrobb! I will definitely give it a go. My son's the real fisherman (at 10 years old!), and prefers the bigger fish (obviously) but if the chinook are getting scarce I'm sure he'll settle for some coho. ;)
