Is the basin dredged out too? I know it infills fairly quickly. I remember years ago coming in from a job and our boat just slowly bogged down in the muck (it was dark)

I believe they only dredged the ramp out to the channel. There was a fisheries issue on dredging the channel for the Captains cove project. Even though all the dredging in the water leases is pointless without dredging the whole thing.

They did a greatl job on the concrete. I see a problem with the way they tied up the tires though. I give them a year or 2 before those tires end up under the float lol.

I'm giving them an "A" for effort. It's the best thing I've seen a government do in the last 10 years in BC. Something that I might actually personally benefit from. Nobody in BC is supporting boating and/or fishermen. Remember what our Feds said, if you can afford a boat, you're rich. Apparently that means most of the people on this site. We're all rich.......not.

Feds had zero to do with it. City of Delta is spending like crazy right now in big development plans.

4ft is comfortable. 2ft can start to cause problems.

From what I can see, they did dredge both sides. Always worth a look before trying the west side of the dock though. A bar forms there naturally.
