This is a picture of the mountain above our salmon fishing hole on the South Thompson. First pic is looking out the camper door about five minutes before the sun hits and the second is just after sunrise. Five minutes later and you couldn't see it anymore.
Somewhere I have a picture if a giant rock at Mabel lake. It was called "Indian Rock" because there was supposed to be petroglyphs painted on it. I searched for them for years and never saw one. Then early on morning coming down the lake we were coming at Indian rock at just the right angle and looking at it you could clearly see the silhouette of an Indian Chief in a headdress. No mistaking it for anything else.
They were actually taken two days apart. The first day I saw it but didn't have the camera ready. By the time I got it together you couldn't see it anymore.
