Ya, they had them at the show. Ask Derby if they have any left. For a med/heavy though they are on the heavy side.

I got the rod in 1.5 weeks ago, I believe they have some left on sale. I used the rod for my WTF Derby. I love it. The rod is looking really nice.

I bought two admunson rods for myself . I let them to use for my rookie salmon fishing friends.
My friends had lot of new used trolling rods . $50 each and comes a year warranty.

They are looking new.

I ended up with a Theron med heavy. Nice looking rod but a bit of a meat stick imo. Good spare

I like the convergence rods, we have 4 of them I believe and never had an issue with any of them once, I have used the technium rods for a whole season and I can't say I noticed a difference between the techinum and the convergance, mine are the 10'6" rods and are fun to play fish on and always gets the fish to the boat without breaking or falling apart for coming up 4 seasons now and they're cheap rods, I have no complaints about them. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have seen probably 10 or more of this current generation of Convergences break in various places, reels seats mess up, etc. A local charter firm has a couple of cases of them on standby... and "over the counter warranty" says what the manufacturer and Shimano know.

The 1st generation was probably the best but would break at the top of the butt in a few... this was probably around 96-97..the second generation was a bit better....then this current generation came around... and they are poor build quality.

This generation of Convergences is crap. $50 rods... if that. Buy a Technium... $139.99

Where have you ever seen a Technium for $139.99 NEW? They are $199 everywhere...I do agree with you to buy them though, probably the best mooching rod I've ever used.
