Sounds like the Gwaii is in for a ride tonight and tomorrow with the approach of a major system..
Reports over the last few day's sounds like a few bigger fish are thrown in with the cutters.. A 280lb. flatty was confirmed today on the westside..
Any news of bigger fish being taken at Langara or Naden??? thanx-dirty

buddy just got back from langara said is was slow , not many fish and the fish they did get were small [B)]it`s not a good sign

Buddy of mine just got back from 5 days in the Queen Charlottes. I forget which lodge they were at. He was telling me they were hooking into 30 springs a day! releasing 25lbers. all day long. Biggest they got was a 37 1/2.lber. With limits of Halibut to boot. They each came home with over 350 pounds of fish!. Sounds good to me!!

Hey Dirty,

Ya I'm up here right now and fishing is good. Tons of bait everywhere. Yes it was forcasted to blow 45-55 the other day but only came up to a gale. A 52 hit the dock today but that is only the second over fiddy this year! Big change from a few years back!

My buddy is on the way up there right now. The boat is the Pacifica. A Commercial Packer. Hopefully its a good season.

Good to hear Buhda, I am back on the west side on the 31st. Talked to the ship yesterday and they measured 52kt. winds off of Kindakan rk.. Glad I am missin that.. Fishing is still strong right into the inlet with fish over 40.. Nuts. tight lines mama, maybe this will be the year we hookup for some chrome..-dirty

As for buddy with the packer, hope the season isn't too generous on the comm. fleets side..
