I still have a few Charlie White “The Ultimate Lures” I bought back in the ‘80s as a tackle-crazy teenager. They actually produced reasonably well for me back then. I’m going to try them again this season, just for old time’s sake.

I was invited to do one of his shows as a guest. Great guy with a good sense of humour. A friend went down to Aussie with him to do a great white shark show...and also to Costa Rica for sailfish...he told me some funny stories from both trips. They had fun.

They were endlessly fighting water intrusion into the cable which often shut down filming or viewing on the monitor. The cable was so thick it limited how far down on the rigger you could drop the camera as the blow back was crazy.....also the deeper water was to dark for cameras of the time to see much.

I watched most of this last night. The education given is much deeper than what todays shows are doing. I watch the modern shows, but this is really enjoyable.
