Looking at upgrading to chamber vaccum sealer.

Just looking for feedback and suggestions on what you have and was it worth the upgrade.

I seal alot of meat, fish and vegetables, soups and just tired of Costco vaccum sealer needing replacing and seals not holding up.

I have the annova chamber sealer. It's decent but not amazing. One thing that is awesome is the ability to infuse / dry / pickle with a chamber sealer, great feature.

Got a Vacmaster 230 and it’s been the best thing I’ve purchased in a while. Like the other member said lots of comments on this topic

I just purchased this one from vevor - very happy with it. My friend has been using the same one for 3 seasons without any issue. My vacuum sealer packed it in this year and I was shocked when looking around for a replacement at the costs foe new vacuum packers. There are a lot of comparison videos on the vevor one compared to higher end $1500 units.
I highly recommend this unit for the price - does perfect commercial grade seals every time. I purchased 1000 bags from uline (8x12")

I just picked this one up too, so far so good but won't really get to test it out on volumes of bags for a bit. I was also weary if getting this at first, so if anyone in Victoria area wants to try it out before you buy, maybe you've got some hunting chops / steaks to seal, send me a note, I want to put it to the test! Doesn't do huge bags, 8x12 max seems right.

Just curious @sudsy if you’re still satisfied with this vacuum sealer after a couple of seasons with it? Pros, cons?

While waiting for @sudsy to respond, I will respond with a positive 2 year experience. Price was great, limitations include a smaller than I would like chamber and the sealing bar appears to be wearing (?) in a few spots.

Overall, I am really pleased with the unit. Have done fish, sauces, and marinated steaks with great sealing. Even compressed a bunch of peanut M & M's just because I could.

No complaints, hasn't skipped a beat, way better than my previous food saver, I've ran 500 bags through it so far. only con is its heavy and I keep it in my garage and bring it in when im processing.

I have had a Chinook 14 for over ten years. Its not cheap but its bullet proof and has a very larger chamber. I package a beef a year and everything else under the sun. I use 3 or 4 mil bags for long term storage. Its might be over kill if your only packaging fish.
