Certificate of Registry for a "C" number

If you are registered as a "C" # vessel you better check your certification of registry before you apply for your blue certification decal for this year and future years.

I was just about to submit my blue decal information for this year and I received forms from TC requesting that I renew my "C" licence number. I never noticed that on my original certificate of registry paper work there is an expire date which is five years from the time you last registered.

Another $50 to TC.

Hi Doug
this is just another cash grab. I think it is the same on bc numbers as well

Cash grab ? whod a figured !! I just got an invoice today from "thunder bay airport services" $28 because I am a small commercial vessel and it has been determined that "we" need to off set costs associated with marine navigation services.......and it begins. This should become a hot topic

Futher more, I think we all seen it coming, Ottawa seen another special interest group to target out west. Make all the guides become certified and have approved boats. Jump through the hoops, and bingo more loot! Mark my words !, Guide CTAG certification will somehow become mantatory, and Bang! there WILL be fees directly assiociated to nickel and dime guides to death some more. Its already neccessary for CTAG guides to pay membership fees to SFI. It will be fun to watch all the fees unfold over the next short period of time. Funny when I did the ctag last year and paid for all the friggin coures and bs, and **** to certify a boat. The straw that broke the camels back, so to speak was a letter stating that I had to become an SFI member.......man o man I thought. So I sent my membership fees $50. A week later they sent another letter saying they need another $6 for HST !!!!!!!! WTF ! To be a member ?! Owen prob wont ever forget my email. Got that rant off my chest, feel better now, LOL or whine?

Hooktender68, heck your lucky, I had to pay last year ... the original invoice was for 224 bucks !!

Pathetic, every one uses the navigation devices ......... why not bill every one !

It will never end!

That's not all. You also need to re-register your boat trailer with a commercial non-expiring plate, get an NSC number for your truck, re-register your truck with a new GVWR that is changed to add up the weight of your boat, trailer and truck in combination...and, if you are over 8201KG you have to get your truck commercially inspected every year...oh, and for good measure, you also need a large trailer code 20 endorsement on your drivers license. Did I mention the NSC number is $200 smacks. Having fun yet!
