Problem! What problem? Glad you asked. I can no longer send or receive texts or calls. Well to be fair I have no idea if I can receive or not. Reason for this problem is that my cell now resides on the bottom of the ocean at slipF6-11 at salmon point.will need a few of your numbers again.

Cheers: Ray

Oh and fishing was tough today. 3 coho in the 3-5 lb class and 3 undersize springs for our efforts.

I know the feeling. I did that twice. My wife was pretty annoyed with me on the second one. I told her the fish that found the first one would have no one to call if I didn't drop the second one. She's just hoping I don't plan on putting all the fish on the Friends and Family program!

My last one that ended up in the ocean was caused by me throwing it as Telus kept calling me wanting me to renew my contract. I showed her :)

When you renew your phone - if Smartphone is in the cards -- take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S5 -- IP67 rated meaning it can be immersed in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Likely not to survive if dropped to the ocean floor, however, mine survived in my pocket when I got dumped sailing our dinghy earlier this year.

I've destroyed several phones in the water so having the Samsung waterproof without an extra case is a great feature. Also has a wicked 16Mp camera that can take 4K video and accepts up to a 128Gb SD card for extra storage.

my contracts almost up. anyone have any opinions on a good company to contract with? rates? hoping to get my rate down and my data allowance up. currently paying about 75 month with telus (family plan) with 1GB data/ month. I know guys getting 6GB for less money I believe. sorry if this is a hijack to the thread... i need a new phone also. mine hasn't worked well since swimming with it in mexico last winter... put it in rice for a month and it came back to life. but runs for about ten minutes then comes up with a message that it is overheating and needs to shutdown.

Depends on where you fish, but Telus tends to have the best coverage in BC -- I'm in the tech business and I have tried all the carriers. I'm currently on Bell (their coverage is provided by Telus where they don't have their own towers). Not suggesting Telus' coverage is great but it's the best of the worst.
